The "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" member, Jason David Frank MMA career has officially begun. He is now training with UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard. He will be adding superior ground game to what he believes is already an impressive stand-up resume. Frank wants to be a successful mixed martial artist.
Jason David Frank said that:

"I was supposed to fight in 2007, but it fell through. In truth, I’ve wanted to put the work in until I’m ready," Frank said in an interview from the Suckerpunch website. "I know I have a target on my back. Everyone is going to want to beat up the Green Ranger. But I am no Kimbo; I’ve been training for a very long time. I wanted to get in there before, but I got injured. But I’ll be ready when the time comes."

Proud of his time as the Green Ranger on the popular television show, Frank is ready to move onto new goals, and he hopes to conquer MMA the same way he did television.

"Just to go out there and do my best, and prove that I’m a real fighter," Jason Frank said about his goals in MMA. "I’m not looking for any titles specifically. Ultimately, I want to give my fans something to watch and be proud of."

I grew up watching the Power Rangers and, I do also have some Power Ranger Toys. For those who didn't know well, Frank appeared in the most Power Rangers episodes. He also appeared in the most seasons like Mighty Morphin [3 seasons], Zeo, Turbo, Wild Force, and Dino Thunder). In short, he is one of the original and main cast of the series.

Danaher Buys Instrument Business for $1.1 Billion

Diversified toolmaker Danaher said Wednesday it will pay $1.1 billion for MDS Inc.’s instrument business in a move to add mass spectrometers to its offerings, while cutting an additional 3,300 jobs and closing 30 facilities, The Associated Press reported.

Danaher, which makes medical equipment and Sears’ Craftsman tools, will gain 50 percent ownership in Applied Biosystems and MDS’ joint life sciences tool venture, AB Sciex, which focuses on mass spectrometers. It will also gain full ownership in the former Molecular Devices Corp., which focuses on analytical instruments.

”AB Sciex is the market leader in mass spectrometry and its instruments address the needs of a broad scientific community involved in many applications including the research, applied and clinical markets,” said Danaher President and Chief Executive Officer H. Lawrence Culp Jr., in a statement.

He said the purchase will compliment the company’s existing medical technologies business.

Under the deal, MDS will receive $650 million while Life Technologies will receive $450 million for the joint venture deal. Life Technologies, based in Carlsbad, Calif., was created by the merger of Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems.

Meanwhile, MDS said the sale allows it to focus solely on its Nordion business, which provides medical isotopes for molecular and diagnostic imaging, along with radiotherapeutics.

”The board and executive management team believe the proposed path forward provides the greatest opportunity to unlock the value of MDS businesses in the near-term and enables a substantial return of proceeds from the sale of the MDS Analytical Technologies business to shareholders,” said MDS Chairman James S. A. MacDonald in a statement.

Meanwhile, Danaher’s restructuring program will cost between $225 million and $250 million, up from prior estimates of $150 million to $170 million. The company says it will save about $220 million annually because of the measures.

Dalene Kurtis Says Boyfriend Beat, Threatened Her

Playboy Playmate of the Year 2002 Dalene Kurtis thought taking a romantic vacation to Hawaii with her boyfriend, which many couples do was a great idea.

That is, until he allegedly used her as a punching bag and then threatened to kill her. In light of what happened to Jasmine Fiore, this is even more chilling.

Kurtis was granted a temporary restraining order earlier this month against an ex she claims pushed, punched and choked her during a recent trip to Hawaii.

The Playboy bunny claims the ex said he was "gonna kill [her]," "slit [her] throat" and that she's a "f**king whore." Basically, he went Chris Brown on her.

Dalene then claims four days later he choked her until she couldn't breathe, stomped on her stomach, punched her, broke her finger, and spit in her face.

That's when she (finally) called the cops and had him arrested.

Kurtis was granted a temporary restraining order, which includes her two-year-old son. She's scheduled to be in court today to get the order made permanent.

She hired attorney Ron Rale (Anna Nicole Smith's attorney in her battle with Howard K. Stern), who had "no comment" when we called about Kurtis' case.
