They pray to the Almighty,
to keep them away from all Evil.
Yet I can't understand why,
money seems to be the only thing on their minds.
They pray for Love,
the pure platonic kind.
Yet I can't understand why,
Hatred seems to be the only thing they harbour in their hearts.
They pray for good Health,
and fewer visits to the Healer.
Yet I can't understand why,
Pain seems to be the only thing their hands can inflict.
They pray for society to accept them as they are,
without any prejudice.
Yet I can't understand why,
they condemn people of race, religion and culture different from their own.
But what I do know for sure,
apart from these contradictions,
is that the God they pray to,
isn't who they would like us to believe.
