Biker trend, I mean, chic biker trend, was taken by Christopher Baley as inspiration theme for Burberry's Spring 2011 collection named "Heritage Biker" taking Thomas Burberry's designs for England's first motorbike riders in the early 1900s as the starting point. It isn't difficult to predicted that this will be a great trend for the next hot season. The Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011 collection is very commercial and I believe that fashionists all over the world will want badly a biker jacket, or a biker leggings in silver... or maybe a biker trench-coat for happy raining days.

So, the motorcycle jacket is the key statement piece for the motorcycle / biker fashion trend. Naturally, not any motorcycle jacket will do. While we undoubtedly will see fast fashion stores give us motorcycle jackets in the now-subdued vein of the 'Brando jacket', the motorcycle jacket in 2011 needs to be much more of a statement piece.
But if black is the natural color for a biker jacket, Christopher Baley showed us that it will be good in silver, python or other less classic colors ( why not red or Tibetan-monk- orange?).
