the who drummer


The English rock band “The Who” is well known for their energetic live performances. The band was formed in 1964 and that time it was consisted of vocalist Roger Daltrey, guitarist Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. Roger Daltrey is not only the lead singer of “The Who” but he is also the founder of the rock band.

In 1978, the band ‘s drummer Keith Moon died at the age of 32 and after his death “The Who” released two studio albums the UK and U.S. top five Face Dances (1981) and the U.S. top ten It’s Hard (1982) with drummer Kenney Jones. In 2002 they planned to record an album of new material but they couldn’t fulfil it due to Entwistle’s death at the age of 57.

The two surviving original members continued there journey as “The Who” and in 2006 they released studio album Endless Wire. Endless wire reached on the top of top ten charts in the UK and U.S.

In February 1988, Jones played with them last time. Recently, Zak Starkey is The Who’s drummer and plays with them on live and occasionally.
